• Molly-Mae Hague’s TikTok stardom has increased rapidly after announcing her shocking split from ex Tommy Fury
  • The stars’ TikTok earning potentials were calculated after each saw a rise in followers in the aftermath of the breakup
  • Hague gained over 45,000 followers overnight, leaving Fury in the dust, as the boxer saw a mere 4,000 increase

The British public have favoured Molly-Mae Hague over her ex, Tommy Fury in the aftermath of their unexpected breakup, boosting her online earnings 718% above those of her former fiancé.

The data was collected by site CSGOLuck, who monitored the TikTok likes and follower count for each ex-Love Islander following their shock split yesterday.

The pair rose to fame on Love Island in 2019, where they came in second place. Potentially the most famous pairing to leave the show, they welcomed daughter Bambi in January 2023 and got engaged soon after.

They have delighted fans with insights into their relationship and family life, as Hague became a millionaire with her work in the fashion industry, and Fury pursued a successful boxing career.

The announcement of their separation came in the form of an Instagram story posted to Molly-Mae’s account, where she shared: “I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end.

“I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.” Hague’s statement dropped nearly an hour before Fury’s, leaving fans speculating about the circumstances of their split, with many accusing Fury of wrongdoing.

Eagle-eyed followers have observed that Tommy is still following his former fiancée, whereas Molly-Mae was swift to unfollow her ex, furthering this belief.

As a result, Hague has gained an impressive 46,163 followers on video-sharing platform TikTok, as fans await extra information on the cause of their parting. This brings her total following up to 3,659,623.

This means Molly is set to earn an astonishing £6,842.60 for every TikTok video uploaded – up from £6,756.20 before the split.

Fury’s TikTok following pales in comparison, gaining only 4,000 followers overnight, totalling 444,920. Fury is expected to earn £836 per post on his account, up from £828.21 yesterday.

Speaking on the findings, a spokesperson from CSGOLuck said: ‘Molly-Mae and Tommy were perhaps the biggest success story to come out of the Love Island villa, and their breakup will leave fans in a frenzy, particularly when the cause of the split is unclear.

“While choosing sides in a breakup is never easy, fans have flocked to the side of Hague, skyrocketing her following and sending messages of love and support. Her influencer status is uncontested, and she is set to out-earn her ex by up to 718%.

“Molly-Mae was always the breadwinner in her relationship, and will continue to have a successful career, boosted by millions of adoring fans. Without her social media influence, Tommy will have to step up his internet presence if he wishes to compete.

“Fans have been awaiting his rematch fight with YouTuber Jake Paul, and Fury may look to bring this forward in order to increase his following.”
