Logpoint Names New Chief Revenue Officer Amid Cybersecurity Growth Focus

European cybersecurity company Logpoint has appointed Frank Koelmel as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), reinforcing its position as a key player in the cybersecurity market and aiming to expand its influence in the sector. Koelmel, who has over 25 years of experience in cybersecurity, brings a wealth of expertise in customer engagement and brand-building to his new role. He joins from Cybereason, where he served as President for the Americas and EMEA, having previously held senior leadership roles at major cybersecurity firms including Palo Alto Networks, FireEye, and Brocade.

The Danish-based cybersecurity company says Koelmel’s appointment signals its commitment to becoming a leading European cybersecurity provider, with a focus on high-impact solutions that enable organisations to counter cyber threats and comply with regulatory requirements.

Koelmel expressed enthusiasm for his new position, highlighting Logpoint’s track record as a trusted cybersecurity partner. “I’ve dedicated my career to helping customers be safe and secure,” said Koelmel. “Logpoint is exceptional in enabling organisations to improve their cybersecurity posture, reduce risk, and meet complex regulatory demands through its effective threat detection, investigation, and response capabilities.” He added that Logpoint’s unique status as the only major European provider of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions, coupled with its focus on data privacy, makes it particularly well-suited to serving European organisations, especially those in critical infrastructure and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs).

In his role as CRO, Koelmel will shape Logpoint’s strategic revenue vision, overseeing all customer-focused operations, including support, customer success, sales, and marketing. He will be tasked with aligning these functions to create a seamless customer experience, with the ultimate goal of delivering market growth and customer excellence.

Logpoint’s CEO, Mikkel Drucker, commented on the new appointment, saying: “We work to create a safer digital society for organisations, which requires close collaboration with our customers and partners. Frank’s strong record of exceeding customer expectations and driving growth will reinforce our close market relationships, helping our customers and partners thrive.” Drucker added that Koelmel’s approach to customer-centric leadership aligns closely with Logpoint’s values.

Logpoint’s European Cyber Defence Platform, known for its robust Threat Detection, Investigation, and Response (TDIR) capabilities, integrates SIEM technology with behavioural analytics, automation, and case management. The platform recently strengthened its offerings through the acquisition of Muninn, an AI-driven Network Detection and Response (NDR) provider, aimed at further enhancing cyber defences for security teams.

Designed for mid-sized enterprises and MSSPs, Logpoint’s solutions provide comprehensive cyber threat protection, while meeting stringent European data protection and cybersecurity regulations. As the only European SIEM provider certified with NATO’s Common Criteria EAL3+ rating, Logpoint stands out for its commitment to data privacy, a key concern for its European clientele.

The addition of Koelmel to Logpoint’s leadership team comes as the company accelerates its growth strategy amid increasing cybersecurity threats. The move reflects Logpoint’s aim to support a safer digital environment across Europe and beyond by providing innovative and effective security solutions tailored to the needs of critical infrastructure and managed security services.

By appointing a leader with extensive experience in customer-focused growth, Logpoint demonstrates its ambition to expand its footprint in the European cybersecurity landscape, supporting organisations in their fight against cyber threats.
