Drama Kids, a leading provider of performing arts education for children, has unveiled a new initiative aimed at nurturing young entrepreneurs under 25. The “Franchise Graduate Scheme” offers a structured pathway to franchise ownership, providing recent graduates and young professionals the tools and support necessary to launch their own business in the performing arts sector.

Launched earlier this year, the scheme has already attracted interest from a number of young entrepreneurs. Amber Jellet, a 24-year-old from Bromley, is one of the first to take advantage of the opportunity. With a background in musical theatre, Jellet has recently established her Drama Kids franchise in the Gravesend and Sevenoaks area.

“I’ve been training in musical theatre since I was five and spent the last few years working as a children’s party entertainer and a teaching assistant,” Jellet explained. “When I found Drama Kids, their mission to foster communication and confidence in children really resonated with me. I love that the focus is on each child’s individuality and self-worth, rather than just preparing them for the stage.”

Jellet completed her franchise training earlier this year and launched her business just before her 25th birthday. She is enthusiastic about the potential of her new venture and credits Drama Kids with giving her the support she needed to make it happen. “I’m thrilled to be part of the Drama Kids family and confident that, with their guidance, I’ll be able to build a successful business.”

A Comprehensive Business Model

The Franchise Graduate Scheme is designed to help young people develop entrepreneurial skills while contributing to the performing arts education sector. A key component of the programme is professional development, which includes the option to earn a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification. The initial five-year franchise agreement provides graduates with a chance to grow their business and build a valuable asset, with an option to renew the agreement after the initial term.

Becky Goodfield, Chief Operating Officer of Drama Kids, sees the new scheme as a major step forward for both the brand and the wider franchising industry. “I wish this scheme had existed when I joined the Drama Kids team at 23!” Goodfield remarked. “At Drama Kids, our academies are run by individuals from all walks of life, but the value of bringing in fresh, young talent will help to strengthen the diversity of our network in the UK. I’m excited to see what people like Amber will achieve.”

Goodfield emphasised that the programme is designed not only to build the confidence of the children enrolled in Drama Kids, but also to empower the young entrepreneurs running the franchises. “We’re giving these young business owners the skills and support they need to make a real impact in their communities, while also running their own successful businesses.”

The Franchise Graduate Scheme follows the company’s global rebrand last year and reflects Drama Kids’ commitment to innovation and growth in the UK.
