Artlist, a global creative technology company, has launched its latest initiative to empower creators by offering a unique opportunity for one visionary artist to bring their most ambitious project to life. The Artlist $100K Fund will award $100,000 to one creator with an innovative idea that encapsulates authentic storytelling and represents the diversity of the modern world.

Artlist, known for providing a vast catalogue of royalty-free digital assets and creative tools, aims to inspire creators worldwide through this grant, which could prove life-changing for the winning project. The competition seeks submissions that push creative boundaries and capture audiences on a grand scale. A panel of professional judges will select one winner based on the originality and creativity of their submission.

Previous Winner’s Groundbreaking Vision

Last year’s winner, creative agency Sent Into Space, used the grant to fund their extraordinary “Reaching for Light” project, which involved filming the Northern Lights from 100,000 feet above Earth. Matt Lanning, Producer of the project, highlighted the unique challenges and rewards that came with winning the Artlist $100K Fund.

“360° video offers a uniquely immersive experience, and viewing Earth from space or the Aurora Borealis can be truly awe-inspiring,” Lanning said. “Our goal is to merge science and art to inspire humanity’s future among the stars. Winning this contest was both thrilling and challenging, as we pushed the limits of camera technology and filmmaking.”

Sent Into Space developed groundbreaking 12K 360° camera technology, which they will now use to film in Sweden. The project aims to explore the fusion of art and science, with the hope of inspiring future generations. Lanning added, “This support has also empowered us to grow as artists, ready for even greater projects ahead.”

Supporting Creative Dreams

Artlist’s Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Ira Belsky, spoke of the company’s commitment to supporting creators through this initiative. “This fund allows us to support video creators by providing a unique $100,000 grant that can be truly life-changing, helping them develop their talents, create without limits, and pursue their greatest passions,” he said.

Belsky expressed excitement about the creative ideas that would emerge from this year’s applications. “We’re excited to continue empowering creators and supporting creativity, and we look forward to seeing the new and innovative ideas that will emerge this year.”
