‘SORP Made Simple’ opens Birmingham seminar series for charity finance professionals

Sayer Vincent, the award-winning firm of auditors and chartered accountants specialising in charities, social enterprises and not-for-profit organisations is kick starting its 2017 series of training events in Birmingham with a seminar entitled, ‘SORP Made Simple’ on 9th February 2017.

This half day event is ideal for finance professionals and teams working in charities, social enterprises and not-for-profit organisations who want to gain a better understanding of how to prepare accounts in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) also known as the charity SORP, as well as the changes and issues emerging from the adoption of SORP 2015.

During the morning, experts from Sayer Vincent will provide a ‘back to basics’ look at the SORP, examining the key changes and implications of FRS102. They will also share examples of best practice for trustees’ reports and consider the accounting issues, such as income recognition, that will affect financial statements.
