Local charities are being encouraged to sign up for training being run in December as part of the government’s support for Local Charities Day. The programme is targeted at charities and community groups with an annual income of up to £1 million and a local focus. Official news release.
There will be fundraising related training in 8 cities (Birmingham Brighton, Bristol, Ipswich, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle) in early December, run by the FSI – sets of 3 one hour sessions. They will also be hosting a range of webinar on Local Charities Day, 16th December. See FSI web page for links to more details and how to book – it appears that you may have to join the FSI (free) first.
GlobalGiving is also running 3 webinars on 16th December on crowdfunding for local charities. Note: the reference to these being for “local charities funded by Office for Civil Society” is probably an error. There is also a ‘Small Charity Business Planning Workshop’ aimed at small London charities, 16th December afternoon.
