The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland (CCNI) is to get a quick review, the Minister for Communities in the Northern Ireland Executive announced in early August. The review will be carried out by a senior civil servant, with expert input on charity regulation and law. It will focus on CCNI’s strategic approach to regulation activities, current governance arrangements and assessing relationships across key stakeholders.
The Review will be undertaken in August and September, at a budget of no more than £6,000, after which a final report will be presented to the Minister for consideration of the next steps.
