Friends of the Earth Appoint Harkable for Digital Refresh

Friends of the Earth, the London-based environmental campaigning charity, announced today that they have appointed London-based agency Harkable to work with them to conduct a digital refresh of all their properties. FOElogoA key focus of the project will be to improve the supporter experience across the variety of digital touch-points for the charity.

In June this year, Craig Bennett took over as Chief Executive after several years as Director of Campaigns and Programmes. His stated ambition is to take the organisation ‘from good to great’ and this will include a refresh of their existing strategy. A brand and refresh of our digital assets is intended to help deliver on this ambition.

Harkable will be tasked with formulating a strategy to drive FOE to become a digital first organisation, taking into account supporter acquisition, social media marketing (paid and organic), and CRM.

Harkable director Chris Harris said “Friends of the Earth are synonymous with some of the most familiar environmental action campaigns of recent years such as the Stop Fracking, and The Bee Cause. We’re relishing the opportunity to help them innovate in the digital space and spread the word on the brilliant work they continue to do.”

“At Friends of the Earth we are really excited to be working with Harkable for our digital refresh.  We understand that we need to be leading the way in the sector when it comes to digital and we’re very confident that Harkable will help us get there”. said Sarah Gabriel, Innovation Product Manager.
