New online charity registration service

A revised online registration service for new charities has been launched in ‘public beta’ by the Charity Commission.

This is the first of their new digital services

transforming the experience customers and trustees have with the Commission .. which will become ‘digital by default’.

The registration service improvements include:

  • clearer application forms
  • auto prompting and completion
  • introduction of tailored question sets for charity types
  • a charity name check facility
  • hard copy printing
  • quicker turnaround times

See Charity Commission news release.

Access the beta version, or the old style, via ‘How to register a charity (CC21b)‘. The two versions will run in parallel for a short period, until beta testing is complete.
