Youth sector bodies confirm merger

Two umbrella bodies in the voluntary youth sector have confirmed that they are to merge.

Merger talks between National Council of Voluntary Youth Services  and Ambition (originally National Association of Boys’ Clubs, then Clubs for Young People) came to light in January.

Initially the membership services and policy functions of NCVYS will merge into Ambition, and the organisation will close on 1st April. Ambition, which represents about 3,000 youth clubs and community projects, will retain its current name.
