The Charity Commission (England and Wales) has published a short policy paper ‘What the Charity Commission expects from trustees in its casework‘. This covers what the Commission expects when it contacts trustees or charity officers or they contact the Commission, so that issues can be resolved as quickly as possible.
AGMs, professional fundraisers, disqualified trustees
The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland has a couple of new ‘Regulatory case studies‘, which provide anonymous, real life illustrations of some of the regulatory work CCNI’s enquiries team deals with on a regular basis. These two cover ‘Using professional fundraisers’ and ‘Calling an Annual General Meeting’.
Also new thematic reports, on ‘Why is evidence so important?’ when investigating concerns about charities, and ‘Disqualified trustees’.
All downloadable from CCNI charity essentials web section.
Update: featured in CCNI news release 14th March, ‘Charities can learn from the mistakes of others, says regulator‘.
