Scottish news: living wage budget, May election rules

Living wage for social care workers

Third Force News reports that the Finance Secretary of the Scottish Government has presented Scotland’s 32 councils with “an offer they can’t refuse”, a budget deal which includes a commitment to implement the living wage for all social care staff. It would also see councils agreeing to stick with the Council Tax freeze.
