Draft guidance on new NI charity reporting regs

As previously reported here, new annual reporting regulations for registered charities in Northern Ireland came into effect from 1st January. The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland has now opened a consultation on its draft accounting and reporting guidance.

A news item from sector umbrella body NICVA says

There are several pieces of draft guidance included in this consultation, which will ultimately help charity trustees, and anyone working with charities, to understand the new rules for the preparation and scrutiny of charity accounts, the annual report and the annual monitoring return. The overall summary document includes useful flowcharts which will help charities easily identify what they have to do now.

The article also has details of consultation seminars being run by CCNI.
