The Information Commissioner’s Office has produced new guidance which gives practical advice on what to look out for when providing information in different formats, to avoid including personal data by mistake.
While ICO’s background article leads with a Freedom of Information request, the advice is applicable to other data distribution processes. The piece gives some examples of “now you don’t see it, now you do” ways of getting it wrong due to the way software works.
