Further chance to input on proposed Scottish lobbying register

A committee of the Scottish Parliament is asking for views on whether a law to create a register of lobbying activity in Scotland is necessary and desirable.  The call from the Scottish Parliament’s Standards, Procedures and Public Appointments Committee follows the publication by the Scottish Government of the Lobbying (Scotland) Bill.

The committee previously made recommendations for the legislation and the government ran its own consultation earlier this year.

Update, 2nd December: SCVO has produced its response to the Committee’s call for views.
