Fundamentals of charity social media

Three short linked guides on the fundamentals of a social media strategy have been published by the Scottish charity regulator OSCR, aimed at staff, volunteers and trustees of charities taking their first steps.

Researched and written by Ross McCulloch and Rosie McIntosh of Third Sector Lab and Be Good Be Social, the ‘Ready, set, go!’ guides are available for download as one pdf (167KB) from the OSCR website.

Meanwhile over on The Guardian, a YouTube staffer shares her top five tips on how charities can use video to connect meaningfully with their audiences. See ‘Secrets of YouTube – what makes a video go viral‘.
