Supporting employees with cancer

The TUC has issued guidance on how best to support colleagues with cancer at work, useful for line managers and employers as well as union reps.

As their news item says, more than 700,000 people of working age are living with cancer across the UK. As survival rates improve and people retire later, many people will continue to work after, or even during, their treatment for cancer.

Originally developed by Macmillan Cancer Support and TUC Education, it has been made more widely available to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. ‘Cancer in the Workplace‘ is available from the UnionLearn website.
