A year on with Irish charity regulation

Ireland’s Charities Regulatory Authority recently saw the first anniversary of starting operation, but seemingly without much fanfare.

VoluntaryNews’ favourite consultant for the Irish voluntary sector, Sandra Velthuis, has taken a look at progress in regulation and the Register of Charities. Concerns include possible under-resourcing at the Authority, dual registration for tax purposes, and difficulties in finding some data through the online register.

Sandra has also added another ‘useful resources’ post to her blog. Note: the VolResource Irish and European sector links page has  already been updated with key items missed previously.
