Studying changing world for small charities

Thinktank IPPR North is undertaking research on what the smaller, local charity sector will look like in five or 20 years’ time, given the blurring of lines between public, private and voluntary sector.

Areas under study include

  • strengths and weaknesses of small charities in service delivery.
  • methods for measuring economic and social contributions.
  • impact of current policy.

Interested groups are invited to share their thoughts on why small and local charities matter, and how public funding models can better support them.
