Voluntary organisations providing goods or services directly to consumers should already be aware of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 coming into force from 1st October (in England and Wales). The government business department BIS has now published a plain English summary of key elements. This can be downloaded and edited to tailor the wording to particular business circumstances.
The guidance also covers the requirement to provide certain information about Alternative Dispute Resolution to consumers. Plus there is a checklist to prepare for the new regulations.
Also see our August news item for some more on the legislation.
