Audience building in the arts

A new book about innovative audience-building strategies for arts organisations is a transatlantic production, commissioned by Paul Hamlyn Foundation and the Cleveland Foundation.

It seeks to be a source of ideas and practical principles, not of rules, in developing new audiences. Case studies are of organisations funded by the 2 foundations – in the UK at least these are well-established bodies such as Royal Shakespeare Company and Baltic Centre For Contemporary Art.
