Scottish regulator wants help with village halls

Scotland’s charity regulator OSCR is looking for sector help in improving its understanding of the issues facing village halls.

OSCR is considering producing guidance for village halls, as there are several hundred village hall charities, many of which are seeking to make changes to either their legal structure or constitution, only to discover that they do not have the power to do so. The steps to address this problem can prove daunting to halls trustees.
