Getting support for unpopular causes

A new report from the University of Kent’s Centre for Philanthropy provides ten useful tips for charities working in ‘unpopular’ areas to attract donations.

Commissioned by the charity Migrant Help, ‘Rising to the Challenge: a study of philanthropic support for unpopular causes’ argues that giving is driven by a combination of donor preference and the ‘ask effect’.
