Accountancy software company to launch charity scheme

Accountancy software company Sage is to provide charities access to its products through a foundation which will start operating globally in October.

The foundation’s model is based on that of another software company familiar to some charities, Salesforce. It will operate on a “2+2+2” basis – donating 2 per cent of employee time, 2 per cent of cash flow, and two technology products per charity or social enterprise.
