Tracking sector role in probation changes

Following the major changes to the probation service which came into effect in February, NCVO and Clinks, the body for criminal justice charities, are jointly running a year-long programme to monitor the role of voluntary sector providers. They want to discover what impact the Transforming Rehabilitation changes have on the thousands of voluntary sector organisations that support ex-offenders.

See NCVO news item for more details, including the experiences with the government’s Work Programme which inform this study. Or Clinks blog piece.

There is also an initial surveyTracking the voluntary sector in Transforming Rehabilitation’, to help build a picture of the sector’s current role.
