The Call for Papers for the 2015 Voluntary Sector and Volunteering Research Conference has been issued. This year’s conference is in Leeds, 8th/9th September. A background article encouraging first time submissions is at http://blogs.ncvo.org.uk/2015/03/23/research-conference-2015-why-we-want-to-hear-from-you/.
Proposals are particularly invited on Civil society and democracy, Grassroots voluntary activity in challenging times, Education and training in and on the voluntary sector, Volunteering and participation in times of change, and several other headings. See https://www.ncvo.org.uk/training-and-events/research-conference/guidelines-for-submitting-a-proposal.
A call for papers for the separate, but concurrent, New Researchers’ Sessions, is at http://www.vssn.org.uk/2015/03/20/call-for-papers-new-researchers-sessions/.
Deadline for submitting proposals for both events is 8th May.
Another opportunity for researchers is an e-journal that the Social Research Association is launching in 2015, ‘Social Research Practice‘. Articles are welcomed from anyone working in social research or social policy, whether as a producer or a user of research. See http://the-sra.org.uk/sra_resources/journal-social-research-practice/.
