Recommendations to strengthen Community Rights

A House of Commons committee has called on the government to strengthen four of its ‘Community Rights’ and give people a greater say in what happens to the buildings, services and land in their area.

Sector body Locality welcomed the recommendations in the report from the Communities and Local Government Select Committee, which could “make it easier for people to take on and run pubs, post offices and community centres”.
