Delay in joint Charity Commission/HMRC processes

The start of a joint registration process for charities, run by the Charity Commission and HM Revenue and Customs, is likely to be delayed until 2016. As reported in Civil Society Media http://www.civilsociety.co.uk/governance/news/content/18661/.

The Commission has also said that it will consult early next year on allowing charities to file their accounts using iXBRL, which is already required of larger charities and charitable companies by HMRC.
