Regulator ‘rapid response unit’ for charity campaigning concerns

The Charity Commission has set up a “rapid response case handling system” to follow up on reported concerns about campaigning activities of charities. The unit will evaluate cases in the run-up to the general election next year, and these will be reviewed after the election to see if Commission guidance on charity campaigning (CC9) might need changing.
