First steps in improving public understanding of charities

CharityComms, the sector communications body, has a round-up of the first steps of the cross-sector consortium set up to help improve the public understanding of how charities work (as mentioned here previously).

A meeting of the Understanding Charities Group earlier this month agreed four broad strands of work: Creating a narrative for the sector as a whole, Engaging with charities (of all sizes), Getting more generic media coverage for charities and creating a media rebuttal protocol, Researching and understanding the public and measuring success.
