Strengthening democracy in Scottish communities

Scotland’s Commission on Strengthening Local Democracy has launched its final report, arguing for devolving more powers to communities, whatever the outcome of the referendum. The commission included civil society representatives, academics, senior councillors and trade union chiefs in its nine month review.
