Putting UK at forefront of a Better Web

A new report from Charles Leadbeater, chair of the Nominet Trust, argues that the internet is in danger of failing to live up to its potential to improve people’s lives. A Guardian article also says that the Better Web report points to progress being made by charities and social enterprises as reason for optimism – read ‘ “We need the Mary Beard prize for women online” author claims’ at http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/aug/07/charles-leadbeater-mary-beard-prize-women-internet-nominet

A further Guardian article based on the report takes a look at a few examples, http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/aug/07/charles-leadbeater-internet-not-doomed-better-web.
