A new study of mergers in the sector has been published, focusing on 90 such processes taking place between January 2013 and April 2014, in England and Wales. Carried out by Eastside Primetimers, they found that some 4 per cent of people working in the charity sector had been involved. The biggest was the merger between St Mungo’s and Broadway, and the most complex the merger of ten organisations to create Community Action Suffolk.
