Views on enlarging social investment tax relief

While the social investment tax relief system has only just been brought into operation (see http://voluntarynews.org.uk/news/2014/07/social-investment-tax-relief-full-guidance/), the government has already started a consultation on “design and implementation” to enlarge its scope. NCVO has an article giving an outline of how the current relief works, which also points out room for improvement, in particular around limits on size. NCVO would like to hear of examples of charities and community interest companies that have wanted to raise more than £275,000 in social investment, to make the strongest possible case in responding to the consultation.
