Community empowerment law for Scotland

The Scottish Government has published its Community Empowerment (Scotland) Bill, designed “to strengthen and nurture community participation and encourage enterprising community development”. Official news release.

It will reform existing community right to buy and include measures to make it simpler for communities to take over public sector land and buildings.
