Arts and cultural working to solve social problems

New research aims to underpin the Cultural Commissioning Programme, funded by Arts Council England for three years to support the arts and cultural sector to collaborate with commissioners in the changing public service landscape. Written by new Philanthropy Capital, ‘Opportunities for alignment: Arts and cultural organisations and public sector commissioning’ can be found at http://www.thinknpc.org/publications/ccp/.

NPC has a connected article which starts “While carrying out our newest research, we were struck by the relevance of arts and culture across a broad range of outcomes, working with all kinds of people, and relevant to the priorities of numerous commissioners”, see ‘Be flexible, be bold’ at http://www.thinknpc.org/blog/be-flexible-be-bold/ And NCVO, also involved in the programme, has a press release.
