The role of voluntary organisations in emergencies

The Voluntary Sector Civil Protection Forum was established by the Cabinet Office and the British Red Cross to provide a framework for engagement between the government, emergency services, local authorities and voluntary organisations. It has recently published guidance notes “to provide some helpful suggestions for Category 1 responders and their voluntary sector partners to consider when entering into collaborative arrangements.”
