The seventh year of the Managing in a Downturn Survey, run by Charity Finance Group, the Institute of Fundraising and PwC, finds that charities are cautiously optimistic about the future despite continuing challenges on funding, and are taking steps to enhance transparency in response to greater press scrutiny.

Viewfinder is Northern Ireland umbrella NICVA’s survey, distributed to members four times a year, which focuses on issues that currently affect the sector. This time round it looked at prompt payment for grant claims, charity registration, open data and the role of media in influencing public opinion.
