Problems for charities around new dot UK domain

An article on ComputerWorld discusses issues that some charities will face around the introduction in June of dot UK domain names.

Nominet, the registration body for existing .co.uk and .org.uk domain names, is only making provision for the owner of the .co.uk domain to get preferential rights to the equivalent .uk one For example, asthma.uk would be reserved for asthma.co.uk, which is owned by a “squatter”, not asthma.org.uk, owned by the charity.
