Flaws in Payment by Results contracts

A new report for NCVO finds significant flaws in the design and implementation of Payment by Results contracts. The analysis of a sample of PbR contracts held by voluntary sector providers was undertaken by Bates Wells Braithwaite solicitors, who have already released their edition of the report (see newsletter 586).

The Guardian’s Society section has an article, NCVO page http://www.ncvo.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=478 or download ‘Payment by results contracts: a legal analysis of terms and process’ direct, pdf, 3MB.

Update: NCVO has a discussion article highlighting some of the key messages from the report.
