Charity law review extended to social investment

The Law Commission’s charity law project has had its remit extended to include a review of certain aspects of the law relating to mixed-purpose social investment by charities. The project was set up to examine “selected issues relating to the legal framework within which charities operate, in order to recommend reforms with a positive impact on charity law in practice”. Started March 2013, the project is expecting to produce a consultation paper in summer 2014.
