Charity accounting proposals attract high interest

The consultation on the proposed new accounting regime for charities (SORP) saw more than 160 responses, the highest ever level of participation to date, according to the Charity Commission. Over 1600 people had taken part in 26 consultation events. Responses will be considered carefully, with the SORP committee meeting on 9th January to make recommendations on any changes to the draft.
