Scottish care sector hit by cuts

From Third Force News: two thirds of care providers in Scotland have had their budgets cut by local authorities over the past six months and are increasingly worried about the impact welfare reforms are having on them and their clients.

The Service Provider Optimism Survey, commissioned by the Coalition of Care and Support Providers Scotland, shows initial concerns about welfare cuts have not diminished despite many care organisations adapting their operations to cope with often sharp decreases in funding.
