Campaign for Youth Social Action

A Campaign for Youth Social Action, aiming to double the number of young people (10 to 20 year olds) taking part by 2020, has been launched at a meeting of leaders from the youth, voluntary, business, education and faith sectors. The campaign was the result of a review set up by the Prime Minister, and the government has also announced a Youth Social Action Fund to offer financial support.

This fund has calls out for ideas in Birmingham, Middlesbrough, Lancashire and Kent, https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/youth-social-action-fund. Official news release, Civil Society Media http://www.civilsociety.co.uk/finance/news/content/15596/.

Note: Generation Change, the coalition of youth social action organisations launched a couple of weeks ago, is an independent body but clearly has some connection, http://www.generationchange.org.uk.
