Social enterprise and ‘Mobile for Good’ awards

  •  This year’s Social Enterprise Awards run by Social Enterprise UK are now open for entries, until 6th August. There are ten categories for organisations, as well as a new award that recognises five individual champions. http://www.socialenterprise.org.uk/social-enterprise-awards-2013.
  •  The Santander Social Enterprise Development Awards aim to support social enterprises and Community Interest Companies looking to grow their business and improve their local community. The awards provide up to £50,000 for established social enterprises, with two or more years of trading, that have ambitions to develop their business but need a financial boost to help them realise their ideas, apply by 1st July via http://www.santanderseda.co.uk.
  •  The first Mobile for Good Europe Awards, for iOS and Android apps designed to improve people’s lives and deliver substantial public benefit, have been announced by the Vodafone Foundation. Creators of the winning apps, in categories including accessibility, mobilising public services, health and education, will receive a shared prize fund of €200,000 to be used for the development of their innovations.
