NCVO to lead on lobbying transparency

The National Council for Voluntary Organisations is to publish details of how much it spends on lobbying and the meetings it holds with ministers as part of plans to make the voluntary sector more transparent. NCVO chief executive Stuart Etherington, speaking at a recent conference, said he wanted charities to set the gold standard on lobbying transparency.

Also mentioned at the conference, NCVO has commissioned a report to find ways to encourage the national media to give the voluntary sector more positive coverage.
