Impact of legal aid cuts on advice charities

Civil Society Media reports that an early study into the impact of legal aid cuts in the UK’s most deprived area has revealed that 91 per cent of advice-giving charities believe they are providing a lower level of service than prior to the cuts, http://www.civilsociety.co.uk/finance/news/content/15369/.

The research was carried out by the Charity Law and Policy Unit at Liverpool University, and ‘Impact of Legal Aid Cuts on Advice Giving Charities in Liverpool’ can be downloaded (pdf, 788KB) via http://www.liv.ac.uk/law/research/charity-law-and-policy/about/.
