Charity Finance Group and the Small Charities Coalition have produced a report into financial management in small charities. It takes a wide reaching look at financial management roles and practices in small charities, along with the challenges they face, and highlights key areas where additional support would be of most benefit.

The Charity Commission (England and Wales) is inviting comments on proposed changes to the Annual Return and the content of the Register of Charities for 2014 onwards.
The ten proposals include questions on whether the charity has particular policies in place, such as safeguarding vulnerable beneficiaries, and whether the charity pays trustees for carrying out trustee duties. CSV has launched the ‘Measuring the Good’ initiative to provide highly-skilled volunteers to assist charities in identifying and developing ways to measure their impact and outcomes. The project is aimed at London-based charities with a turnover of over £150,000, with a deadline for applications of 3rd June.
