Scottish Charity Regulator annual review

The Scottish Charity Regulator OSCR (they seem to want to drop the O for “Office of”) has published its review for the financial year 2011-12.

The year saw an eight per cent increase in applications for charitable status, to 1,231, and 161 Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisations were approved. Since then, over half of registered charities have signed up for the new OSCR Online service, and 6,779 sets of returns and accounts have been filed online since June 2012.
