Scottish charity news

The Scottish Charity Regulator OSCR has made decisions on reviews of 13 out of forty fee-charging schools. Three failed to meet the charity test “due to insufficient mitigation of high fees or to otherwise widen access to the benefit they provided”. Review reports are linked half way down this page http://www.oscr.org.uk/managing-your-charity/reviews-of-charitable-status/.

OSCR has also published its inquiry report into Glasgow East Regeneration Agency, which had given the chief executive a massive severance package as the organisation was being wound up. Trustees were found to be in breach of their duties, see Third Force News item or the OSCR report.
